Mitsubishi's European arm has released a new batch of photos and additional information on its market-specific ASX Crossover that will premiere at this year's edition of the Geneva Salon. The European-spec version of the Japanese RVR, which went on sale in Japan earlier this month, will land in showrooms this summer.
With the exception of a few details such the black finish on the ASX's front and rear bumper inserts, grille and rocker panels as well as the addition of turning signals on the exterior mirrors, the European does not differ in any other way from the JDM version.

At launch, engine options for European buyers will include a new 150HP 1.8-liter turbodiesel with stop-start technology and a six-speed gearbox, plus a 1.6-liter gasoline unit producing 117 horsepower. Later in the year, Mitsubishi will enhance the range with a second diesel engine delivering 116 horsepower.
The Japanese maker said that both diesel models will be available with front- and all-wheel drive configurations, the petrol model will be offered only with front-wheel drive.
The five-seat crossover model makes use of Mitsubishi's 'Global Platform' that also underpins the Lancer and Outlander models. But while the ASX retains the same wheelbase as the Outlander at 2,670mm, it is some 350mm shorter than its larger sibling.
We'll have more details and photos of the ASX next week from the Geneva Motor Show.
